It’s super important for your health, to have your nervous system working as well as it possibly can.
That’s what Chiropractic is all about - helping the nervous system (nerves, spinal cord, brain) to control every part of your body as well as it possibly can. From your head to the tip of your toes 😉
The aim of improving nervous system function, is to help people balance their physical, chemical and emotional wellbeing.
The nervous system is the most amazing control system around.
But pain and feelings don’t always give a very robust analysis of its function. The brain receives two million messages per second from our bodies and enviroment, but we are only consciously aware of only seven!
The old Addage of “Use it or loose it” rings true in the body
The brain prunes under-used and unused connections, but pathways that are used will get bigger, faster and have better protection, therefore function more efficiently.
As a chiropractor, I seek to find irritations or miscommunication in the nervous system, that slow or prevent good communication between the end organ and the brain.
So the better your spinal function, the better your nervous system function, the better your body is able to control everything in your body well. We would call that wellness.
