Will it hurt?

Usually no. However due to the changes that happen within the body some patients experience short-term tenderness during or after their initial treatments and this usually lasts for less than 24 hours. This is usually because your body is adjusting to the new way of functioning. Some patients experience instant relief and with ongoing treatments they feel more energized and on top of their health.

How much will it cost?

Initial consultations start from $100.00 for a complete assessment and lasts for 45 minutes. Second appointments are $80 for a 30min and a report of findings. Subsequent sessions are $60.00 per visit for up to 15 minutes. Extended consultations are $80.00 for up to 30 minutes.

How are adjustments done?

Dr Helena Ford uses a variety of diagnostic and adjustment modalities including: SOT; Applied kinesiology; Activator; Gentle manual adjustments; Gentle drop piece; Soft tissue release; and Neuro-emotional technique release. Wondering what all this is? Dr Helena Ford will explain the techniques best suited for you during your consultation and answer any questions.

What will happen on my first consult?

We will discuss your medical history and do a comprehensive exam of your body and discuss any issues you are experiencing. Please bring in any blood tests, scans or X-rays to your first consultation so that we can do a thorough assessment. Dr Helena Ford will then assess your body and create a treatment plan for you and make any necessary adjustments whilst continuing to explain how your body is working. Our aim is that you will leave the clinic feeling well informed and excited for your next treatment.

How will chiro help?

Do you feel stressed or fatigued? Are you suffering from poor posture, lack of movement or stiffness? Do you have any back or shoulder pain? Are you experiencing frequent headaches, dizziness or migraines? Do you have any sporting injuries either old or new? Our Chiropractor, Dr Helena Ford, can help assess how well your body is functioning by focusing on how well your nervous system is controlling the rest of the body. Chiropractic work is based on the idea that the body is self-sustaining and self-healing and that the brain controls the body through its connection via the spinal cord and the vast network of nerves. Chiropractic seeks to correct areas of irritation, dysfunction or dis-ease in your nervous system that are dimming your health, allowing you to shine brightly.

How long will it take to get better?

Dr Helena Ford is very particular about tailoring treatment plans specific for your body and your goals. In general terms, people feel relief after the first session and with ongoing treatments feel an overall wellness.
